Message from the President

President’s Message

Dental education should be both innovative for teachers and a unique experience for each student in each class or clinical session, according to the guiding principles of the International Dental Educationists' Association (IDEA). Under my direction, a number of instructional experiments utilizing various modules, including Problem- Based Learning (PBL), were carried out between 2006 and 2017 to put this theory into effect. The potential and opportunity for innovation in dental education employing a variety of teaching methodologies were proven by surveys and feedback obtained from the stakeholders in the field, namely students and instructors. The outcomes of extensive discussion and debate about these findings with like-minded dental educators worldwide led to the creation of IDEA.

The Core Philosophies of idea i.e.,

• Education must continuously evolve to remain impactful.
• Teaching should inspire both the educator and the learner.
• Global collaboration is essential to refine, expand, and mature these teaching systems.

Continue to guide the association into its 8th year.
